Away From Xuan
BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra
Conducted by Tan Dun
While the world, the people and the society are becoming more and
more Xuan, which means mystery, abstract, profundity in Chinese, the
composer finds his own path toward reality, innocence and nature.
The melodic and rhythmic material in this music is based on some
folk tunes found throughout Xinjiang, China.
